PlainsCraft wagons feature a synthetic marine grade, outer fabric engineered to resist: mold, mildew, rot, moisture, and UV damage, as well as minimize condensation. This insulated system combines weather resistance, noise reduction, and temperature control. The outer Aqualon Edge layer, defends against water, mildew, fading, and heat—while preserving a classic canvas look. Inside, a 2 ½-inch air cavity, a radiant heat barrier, and thermal-acoustic insulation create a quieter, more private guest experience. A breathable soft and beautiful Sunforger® canvas interior adds the finishing touch.

Every wagon door is built custom—crafted in-house and framed in metal to eliminate issues with seasonal expansion or shrinkage. A vented window in the front door and bathroom include custom-made fabric valances that can be lowered for privacy or rolled up and secured using our signature leather-like strap system when guests want natural light to flow in.

Each stair system includes 12-inch treads, 7 ¾-inch risers, 10-inch side stringers, and a very sturdy railing system; with all gaps kept under 4-inches for added safety and security. The result is a stable, solid porch and stairway that complements the wagon’s craftsmanship while supporting safe access in any setting.

Each PlainsCraft wagon begins with hand-selected, premium-grade lumber chosen to meet our strict durability standards. To ensure lasting performance and minimal maintenance, each board is treated with a three coat sealing/staining process. The first two coats are applied before assembly for full coverage and complete saturation—safeguarding the wood from moisture, sun exposure, and wear. After assembly, a final hand-applied coat adds another layer of protection and visual refinement.
