Plainscraft is seeking a Logistics/ Quality Control Technician to join our dedicated team of craftsmen who hand-build custom covered wagons shipped throughout the United States and Canada. This position plays a key role in maintaining the high level of quality and craftsmanship that PlainsCraft is known for.
Position Overview
The Logistics/ Quality Control Technician will work with hand tools, battery-operated sanders, and a variety of brushes on a daily basis. This role requires attention to detail, consistency, and pride in producing high-quality finishes. Candidates should be comfortable working in a hands-on production environment and committed to upholding our craftsmanship standards.

Responsibilities:
- Physical inventory tasks such as counting quantities, assisting with orders
- Receive orders and verify quantities, quality of goods
- Pickup orders as needed
- Quality checks on wagons and our other products
- General wagon repairs on stock
- Installation of furniture packages, prep for shrink wrap, and shrink wrap wagons
- Responsible for DOT requirements (I.E. logbooks, permits, laws, etc.)
- Truck and trailer maintenance
- Loading of wagons, products onto trailers
- Assist in answering customer technical questions about wagons, setup, unloading, delivery, etc.
- Perform maintenance and adjustments to shop equipment
- Traveling to trade shows with wagon, setup and teardown
- Travel to locations and set up purchased wagons under our pro-assist program
- Clean and maintain area
- Facility maintenance as needed
- Perform other tasks as assigned
Physical Demands:
- Able to stand for 8 hours a day
- Able to walk, bend, twist and reach
- Able to lift 40 pounds regularly
- Able to work in a non-climate-controlled facility
- Able to work without the influence of illicit drugs, alcohol, or other intoxicating substances
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified candidates will maintain a practical, common-sense approach to completing all work while maintaining commitment to quality, service, timing, and safety
- Must be able to travel for trade shows, pro-assist, and local material pickup & delivery
- Driving safely with 24’- 34’ trailers
- Detail oriented, effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- Reliable, Responsible, and able to work Independently
- Must have effective oral communication skills
- A positive attitude is necessary
- Occasionally work weekends on a limited basis
- All new hires must provide identification to verify eligibility to work in the U.S
Experience:
- 1 year HVAC experience
- 1 year carpentry experience
- 1 year electrical experience
- 1 year plumbing experience
License/Certification:
- Driver’s License (Required)

Job Type: Full-time (Some overtime may be required)
Schedule: Monday to Friday – 8 hours per day (Occasional overtime)
Pay: Starting wage $19 – $18 an hour
